I got into Memphis about 2pm today. While it was only a 4 hour drive, it was one of the worse 4 hours of driving I have done so far this trip. The roads through Arkansas were terrible. IT wasn't so much that there were pot holes, just that the pavement was so choppy that it was like drying to drive 55 on washboard. I normally drive about 62MPH but slowed to 55 and that wasn't even enough to reduce the abuse myself, the truck and trailer took. I will avoid Arkansas at all costs on any future trips.

I am staying at Graceland RV Park & Campground, only a block or two from Graceland. While the campground is expensive and cramped, it is within walking distance to Graceland and you can catch free/low cost shuttles to restaurants and Beale Street. I figure the extra cost is worth the saving in gas and flusteration from driving in from outside the city.

While setting at the campground I noticed that the sidewall of the trailer has separated from the back wall. Currently there is about a 1 inch gap where they have separated. A quick inspection and it appears that floor at the rear of the trailer has come loose from the frame and has actually shifted to one side. Without some major disassembly it is hard to tell how extensive the problem is. It could be a simple fix or it could be major. I am only two days drive from home so I am not going to worry about it now. I'll check it out once I get settled in.

I did grab a shuttle today to Marlowe's Restaurant. They pick you up at the campground in a pink limo and then bring you back once you are done eating. Marlow's was featured on Diners, Dives and Drive-ins. I'll do a little bit of my own food review in a later post. After a half rack plus a couple beers, I'm ready for a nap and don't really want to type any more.
