Trailer DamageI've had a chance to get a closer look at the damage at the rear of my trailer. Not a lot I could look at since everything is enclosed but it appears there is some internal structural damage to the floor framing. I can see the aluminum studs through the open seam and they are what is pushing the sidewall out.

I have a claim in with my insurance company so I don't want to tear into it until I find out what they are going to do. Claims is suppose to call me tomorrow.

I am not fully unpacked yet. Still have bedding and can goods to remove plus some misc. junk. I can hopefully get that done tomorrow.

  1. Glad to hear that you made it hone safely, other than the recent trailer damage. Good luck with that. I’ve been following your blog the past couple months. Really enjoy the effort that you put into it. We were in Quartzite the same time as you this year. Didn’t find your blog until we got back to Wisconsin in February, otherwise it would have been fun to visit. Take care Hank.

    • oo bad you didn’t find it sooner, would have been great to meet up. I did meet a reader when I was in Tuscon. Spent a couple days camping with them at a casino. Blog posts will slow down for a bit while I wait to find out more info on the trailer. I really don’t think it will be up to making too many more 5K mile trips. But now I’m looking at a new Crossroads so may have more to write about.

Plans now are to head to FL next winter. My sister lives down there and I can park near her house and it won’t cost me anything. Better then a casino parking lot for sure!
