The closest place to camp that I know of would be the Paradise Casino just across the river in California. It's not exactly walking distance but is only a mile or so away.

I think that this is the best thing created in the satellite world because it has a weather-resistant cover on it and stops programming from bring interrupted. I have just got mine for my family and they love it. They are the ones that can't ever live without their TV shows, so we used it when we went camping and used it to travel. It is definitely something to have for when the summers comes. As a customer and employee with DISH I recommend it for anyone. It is an east set up and not hard to get going. I love it! Be sure to check it out today!

I did machining for about 20 years. 4 years in the service then 16 years in the aircraft industry. Reservations didn't seem hard to get for Nov. Prices jump the first of Dec. so I wanted to go in Nov. to afford it.

Glad you made the wrong turn and checked out the railyard! I was surprised to read that you were a machinist, I should have figured it out by some of your upgrades on the forum, I'm a machinist/rebuild tech. at the IP paper mill in Eastover, SC. How hard is it to get reservations in the Keys during the winter months? We hope to make a trip down in the next year or two. Hope your trip continues to be positive, Billy

Thanks for the info on the railyard museum, I'll be sure to check it out. The Hardeeville campground is nice. I'll have to try it the next time you stop.

Welcome to SC!!!! Historic Savanna is a great city to visit, the last time my wife and I visited I was most impressed with the old railyard museum, it was a self paced walk through. We camped at Tybee Island and I was very disappointed, very tight campsites ans located next to the sewage treatment facility. Hope you have a great time, Billy
